A Visit With Dad
Jared’s Dad came to town for the weekend and we had a great time catching up with him. I’m so sad that I didn’t take my camera, but we went to Stone Hill Winery in Hermann, MO on Friday without the kids, and it was WONDERFUL. Hermann is a quaint little German town with so much personality. I highly recommend the drive to anyone looking for a day trip. On Saturday, Jared and Dad went to the Kirkwood Winery (they really like wine) and the boys and I went for a hike at Rockwoods Reservation. I discovered that there is a 10 mile trail there and I am determined to hike it with Jared sometime soon. Kidless, of course! The weather was beautiful over the weekend and on Sunday after church we took Dad to Grant’s Farm and our great friends Matt and Emily tagged along. Emily doesn’t like animals and she even enjoyed it! I’m sure it had something to do with the free beer and snow cones. Here is a slideshow of our trip to Grant’s Farm. Enjoy! Umm, correction on that slideshow. Gage must only have one Aunt Emily. I am MIMI, the one and only. Get it right, Napolean. So Emily can have the “Aunt Emily” status. Mimi says it all. I LOVE YOU GUYS!!! Oh, and I need to know how to do the Picasa slideshows because I have bookoos of pictures I want to show the world. Okay, maybe just my few friends who read my blog.
And you better bring my boys to the airport to pick me up when I get there. If you come by yourself I wont leave the airport. I will throw a temper tantrum like Gage used to, still does maybe, and embarrass you if my Gager and Sheabert are not in tow with you. I will punch you, right in the babymaker.
You are crazy! Of course you’ll always be “Mimi”. That is why I specifically called her “Aunt Emily” b/c I knew that wouldn’t bother you. They’re supposed to call her “Emmie”, but Shea insists on calling her Matt. It’s hilarious! Oh, and don’t worry, I’ll bring the kids with me. I can’t wait! I’m so excited!
April- Yes. We really enjoyed Stone Hill and I wished we had gone earlier so that we could explore the little town. It was so cute. Thanks for inspiring us to go! And, I can’t wait to be home, either! I’m looking forward to seeing you soon!
