Sister Time
My sister, Stacey and niece Ashlyn came for a visit this past weekend. We went to the arch on Friday afternoon and then on Saturday we went to SCOSAG and then made our way over to City Museum. I LOVE that place! I played like a kid and realized the next day that I’m not as young as I used to be. What in the world?! How does that happen all of the sudden? I am so sore all over and have bruises like you wouldn’t believe. It was so worth it, though. You can see pictures of our visit here. Enjoy!

My two oldest took SCOSAG classes our first semester here. Loved that place. Are you planning to do anything there this fall? Also: How in the world do you manage to go to the City Museum so much? We love it to, but have only been one time because of the $$$ !!!
We’ve been twice and the first time my parent’s treated us and this past time, we used gift certificates that our “adoptive” Christmas family gave to us. I know, it is expensive. I wish it was free! And, Gage loved SCOSAG. We’ve got to go back to finish the pot he started and I applied for a scholarship, so once I hear about that I’ll decide if we’re going to sign him up for a class or not. He wants to take the clay class. There is also a cartooning class that I think he’d like and we met the guy who teaches it. I think we’ve definitely found a place for Gage’s art outlet. Maybe we can meet up at SCOSAG during the fall for the open studio time.
Lyra, I love the pictures that you took! They were great! The boys are getting so big. I hope ya’ll are doing well.
LYRA!! Awesome pictures! I am impressed and super excited because I WANT TO GO THERE!!
Can we please go for my birthday?!
Ah ha. For some reason i thought you’d been much more than that! You must be referring to the same visits when you talk about it. We love it too, but have only been once with a discounted field trip. I think you need 15 people and secure a non-profit status letter to get in for $6 each. Maybe we can find 15 seminary types and talk the seminary into giving us a letter sometime this year. I looked into their memberships – totally overpriced. And it wouldn’t even really benefit our family as they wouldn’t let all 6 of us in on a membership (even if I were to pay that inflated membership price, which I won’t).
I should reapply for scholarship at SCOSAG. I was thinking about art classes for the girls at COCA, but they only offer one class period each week – I’m not sure it’s going to work out for us. I’ll give SCOSAG another look for this week for sure.
