There’s No Place Like Home!
We are officially home from our summer of house-sitting in the country and, although we enjoyed our summer of nature study, we’re all glad to be home again. Shea is playing with all of his toys as if they are brand new and Gage has been outside playing with his friends since 9:00 this morning. Oh, and we brought a piece of nature home with us. A “Herphaven” from Petco containing 2 frogs, a turtle, and a caterpillar, which has attached itself to a stick and entered the pupa stage. Yesterday, as we were packing up to leave, Gage came running in to show me that the turtle had eaten half of the live lizard he had placed in the “Herphaven”! That wasn’t the plan, but, hey, at least we know the turtle isn’t starving now.
Now I’ve got to start unpacking. We have 2 carloads to put away!

Hey, April! I’m so glad to be back, too. Feel free to stop by if you get the chance! I was out on campus with Shea today over at student services. We should have walked over to FSI to say “hey”, but I just didn’t think about it. Maybe tomorrow!

I’ll be glad to get back on campus too. My arms are just now healing from all those damn mosquito bites I suffered in the woods.
I do feel bad that I never went with Gage to look at that freakin cave though. bless his heart
LOL! Oh, my gosh, Mandy, thanks for the laugh! Oh, and guess what? Gage went down into it with a rope tied around his waist and Jared on the other end! They both are crazy!
I may try to stop by tonight or tomorrow…..it is so hot out there!
We’ll be here! It’s miserable outside. Gage is out at the basketball court playing. I don’t know how he can stand it!
