I Owe a Big “Thank You”!
Well, everyone………………………it’s done! Jared let me cut his hair! Thanks for all your votes! For a little while, I was afraid your opinion would make no difference, and that Jared would continue to fight the majority. But, he gave in. There are a couple of things that may have influenced his decision. First of all, as soon as he started saying he was going to do it, our friend, Mandy (she was here visiting) started saying, “Yeah, right, Jared. You’re not going to cut it. Lyra, don’t even get your hopes up.” She knows him so well. Thanks, Mandy! The other influence may have been my comment while we were at the winery (just hours before the cut). I took a picture of him from the side, and instantly burst into laughter, telling him that he looked like the guy from Dumb and Dumber. Not Jim Carrey, but the other guy. I think that may have helped, too. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Oh my gosh, “Dumb and Dumber” caption got me! Had his hair been altered before that picture was taken, because if not, we were all dumberer for telling him to keep it long. It looks good short too. And now Shea and Jared look like twins.
I am still laughing at the thought of sending that crap to Locks of Love.

Mandy, I couldn’t resist posting that picture. I mean you look good, girl! You’re not vain, you just know beauty when you see it. OMG, I’m laughing out loud about the Locks of Love idea. I think they’ll be much happier with your contribution.
And, Emily, no that’s the same hair you saw before. I have to admit, it was a bad picture from the side, but as Mandy always says, “the camera doesn’t lie.” It was just time for a cut!

You made the right decision with the hair! Lyra, He does look like the guy from dumb and dumber. Thats funny. The short hair looks good. Now, what about the beard ? Trim out a go-tee! I read that you all may try to come home for an extended Christmas? If so, I’ll try again to run up with you. Last time, I ended up getting tied up those days you all were down. Oh well. Be good.
