It’s Fun to Shower at the YMCA!

This is the second week of working out at the “Y” and I decided to start taking my showers there, while my kids are both entertained.  I never knew what I was missing!  The peace was unbelievable!  I didn’t have to worry about Shea escaping from our apartment (which he did just a few days ago) or listen to him scream for me outside my door.  Yes, I did have to experience the weirdness of seeing a naked woman roam through the locker room.  What is up with that?  Sorry, if you’re someone who is okay with it.  But, I’m just not.  What is the harm in putting a towel around yourself?  They pass them out at the front counter free of charge.  I even took two, so there are plenty!  Anyway, with that aside, I thoroughly enjoyed my shower at the “Y” and will be making it a regular part of my routine.

I am so proud of you for sticking to your plan! That is awesome. I only wish I had the time and energy to go to our gym these next couple of weeks. I’m just too swamped!

I work out at a YMCA too and stumbled across your blog. You should be VERY proud of yourself for stickign to your plan. Im with you on the woman walking around naked (I never get that) but if you are comfortable i the shower and changing, then why is it such a big deal? I dont get it, you still have to get naked.

Lyra,
THAT IS THE ONLY way to shower!!!! That is totally how I do it!!! And those naked women walking around….totally fine. After having 3 kids it just seems normal! ha!

By the way, you can go and sit under the hand dryer up…viola instant blow dryer, it is very relaxing! :)

Hi, Angela. Thanks for stopping by. I would say the big deal is that when I shower and change, I’m not in front of other people. There are stalls with curtains.

Thanks for the encouragement, girls! Let’s hope I stick with it and get rid of this sweet tooth that has been following me around for the past 2 weeks!
