Resurrection Day

We made resurrection cookies last night and it was so neat for us to see how much more Shea understands this year.  We did this for the first time last year, and I decided then that I wanted it to be a family tradition.  I (we) are so bad at doing anything regularly, so as a result, we have established very few family traditions.  But, this is one that I think will stick with us.  The boys loved it, and this morning, we came into the kitchen and took the cookies out of the “tomb”.  They ate their resurrection cookies as I read to them about the day Jesus’ disciples discovered he was no longer in the tomb.  It was one of those precious moments that just can’t be put into words, so I’ll stop here.

We went to church and Shea was telling everyone that we took the cookies out of the tomb.  He was so excited about it!

Gage drew this during church today.  He was copying a banner hanging behind our pastor on the window.

The day began and ended with snow.  A snowy Easter Sunday!

Gage, I loved your drawing of the cross. I hope that you are doing well. We miss you down here. We are holding onto that bike so the next time your parents come, if they want it you can have it. If you don’t want it or need it then we will pass it on to someone else. We love you all.

Mike
