Yep, that’s me!

I took this personality test today online just for fun. And, as usual, I came out as an INFP. I have always loved figuring out personality types. One of my favorite classes in college was a class on personalities. So, being here at Covenant is great because the Myer’s Briggs personality scale is ingrained in the language. It is not uncommon to quickly share your personality type with someone in a passing conversation.  I’ve been noticing a trend in faithful bloggers lately. They are usually J’s. This would explain why I go for days at a time without writing. The J’s seem to have it all together and share the breakfasts they are cooking for their families, the rooms they are organizing, and checklists for the week. Not me. I just can’t do it. And, that’s okay. I will say that my friend, Emily is a total J, and she has inspired me over the past year to do many Jish things. Or at least desire to do Jish things. But, I’ve come to terms with the fact that I can never be a J.

INFP - The “Dreamer”

Myers-Briggs Personality Types (Free Test)

INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

So what are you? Take the test and let me know!

Lyra,

You are so FUNNY!!! I love you for you! You are an amazing, Mom, wife, and friend! That personality test really summed you up! You are so caring, and kind. I enjoy your blog so much! I took the test in college I will take again and post! (but I do NOT think I am a J)

Years ago I tested as an INFJ. Michael is the exact opposite, except for the “I”, so he’s an ISTP.
I want to take the test again and see if the results are the same. But right now the baby is sleeping, the toddler is napping, so I’m going to catch a snooze! Will test later when kids are yelling and jumping and climbing all over me, and supper is burning on the stove. :-)

Now, now, now, my friend Lyra has some J in her i just know it!

I tested as INFJ in college, but now I faithfully test as INFP. So I guess what that means is that having kids made me loosen up–a lot! But, under stress–or if I need it– my J totally comes out.

“ISTJ” - and it decribes me all the way! Which by the way makes me a very small portion of the population- I like to think of it as different, not weird……

Well, I’m not at all surprised so far. Except for Carla! Carla! What the heck!? We’re gonna have to talk b/c I’ve known you since 1st grade and would never have pegged you as an ISTJ. Or, maybe since I’ve known you so long, I’ve never thought very much about what personality type you are. You’re just Carla to me. Hmmmmmm. Thanks for sharing, girls! Anyone else?

ENTJ, that pretty much sums it up for me. Although, I hope I’m actually nicer than it looks on paper. Seriously, I don’t bite. Much.

Karen! Thanks for sharing! I’ll have to look over the description of an ENTJ. I’m curious now!
